Holiness or Unholiness of Anxiety

Have you ever experienced anxiety? Well, who hasn't? What is anxiety and what does the
Bible say about it?
Let's dive in.
Anxiety is an unpleasant state of mental uneasiness, nervousness, apprehension and obsession or concern about some uncertain event.
In the Bible, God tells us to fear not 365 times.
In the book of Philippians 4:6-7, the Bible says ,"do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God".
Further, Philippians 4:13 goes ahead to tell us that" I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

Anxiety triggers
One would therefore ask, why should a Christian experience anxiety yet the above scriptures
are provided in the Bible? We are all human with our flaws and hence, it's inevitable for humans
point where someone becomes suicidal if he or she doesn't seek help.
What are the triggers of anxiety?
Anxiety is a variate that may come about due to certain circumstances. What triggers one might not be the trigger for another person. They could be could be; the fear of the unknown, the fear of not fitting in, specific animals, fear of failing an examination or even, imagined events, just to mention a few.
Suppress anxiety
Some people opt to listen to soft soothing music, to indulge in emotional eating, to do drugs, take alcohol and stimulants such as coffee.
Truth is, we are humans who face different life situations making us lean on the quickest methods to relieve our anxieties.
In the book of Matthew 7:1, we are told not to judge others or we shall be be judged by the measures we use on others. Therefore, we should more accommodative of one another when our brothers try to suppress their anxieties, and in love, guide them through the best method to go about to relieve them.

Dealing with anxiety as a Christian
The million dollar question on the table is, how should we as Christians deal with anxiety?
Below are some ways to go about it:
Praying whenever we have an anxiety attacks. In Matthew 7:7-8 the Bible says, knock and it shall be opened, seek and you shall find, thus, when we have an anxiety attack, we should call on Jehovah Shalom, our God of peace and He shall help us calm down by filling us with His peace.
Reciting affirmation scriptures when we have an anxiety attacks. In John 14:27, Jesus says, my peace I leave with you, my peace I give you, I do not give you as the world does ,do not let your hearts be troubled, do not be afraid.
Seeking closure with our Christian mentors on how to go about anxiety when we get an anxiety attack.
